
CHICAGO (WLS) — After strong thunderstorms moved through the Chicago area Wednesday, toppling trees and causing power outages, another round of storms is forecast for Thursday.

There is a Tornado Warning for Lake County, Indiana until 8 p.m.
There is a Tornado Warning for Porter County, Indiana until 8:30 p.m.
There is a Tornado Warning for Newton and Jasper counties in Indiana until 8:45 p.m.
There is a Tornado Watch for Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, Lake, McHenry and Will counties in Illinois and Benton, Jasper, Lake, Newton and Porter counties in Indiana and Kenosha, Walworth and Racine counties in Wisconsin until 9 p.m.
There is a Tornado Watch for LaPorte County in Indiana until 1 a.m. CT.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Kane County until 8 p.m.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for DeKalb County until 7:45 p.m.
There is a Flash Flood Warning for Lake (IL) and McHenry counties in Wisconsin until 10 p.m.
Illinois State Police said a tornado touched down in Streator, Illinois Thursday evening. Homes appeared to be destroyed.
“Family reunification for displaced residents and separated families is at Streator City Hall, 204 S. Bloomington Street,” police said.
A reported tornado was seen moving through LaSalle County, Illinois.
The Storm Prediction Center had much of the area under a Level 4 Risk for severe weather. Northwest Indiana and parts of Kankakee County were under a Level 3 risk.
Isolated storms were expected to produce strong winds, ABC7 Chicago meteorologists said. The main severe weather threat was from 4 to 10 p.m., with strong winds, large hail and a threat of tornadoes. More than an inch of additional rain was also possible.
The Chicago-area weather forecast includes another risk of severe storms and a Tornado Watch Thursday.
There is a Ground Stop at Chicago O’Hare International Airport until 8:15 p.m.
As of 7 p.m., over 800 flights had been canceled at O’Hare airport over 24 hours, with delays of nearly 90 minutes. Delays at Midway airport were about 20 minutes, with over 30 cancellations.
Comed says there are more than 4,600 active outages across the area, impacting 132,000 customers. They expect approximately 80% of the outages will be restored by 11 p.m. Saturday.

The Chicago Park District said it has canceled multiple events Thursday evening due to the weather. Closures at park district beaches were also possible.
The Chicago White Sox game against the Atlanta Braves Thursday at Rate Field has been postponed to 1:10 p.m. on August 20 due to the severe weather, the team announced.
The gate opening time for the “Mumford & Sons” concert Thursday night at Wrigley Field has been delayed to 8:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 10 p.m., the music act announced on social media.
Concerts scheduled at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island Thursday night, the Jimmy Eat World show with The Get Up Kids & Sunny Day Real Estate, have been rescheduled to August 20.
The opening day of the annual Puerto Rican Festival in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood was postponed due to the severe weather Thursday, organizers announced. Fiestas Patronales Puertorriqueñas will now open at 3 p.m. Friday.
